Our Approach

Adopting a Whole Food Plant-Based (WFPB) food lifestyle is central to our approach.

Background

We embrace a Lifestyle Medicine (LM) approach to healthcare. This from within the medical community in the USA when it became clear that people were continuing to gain weight, experiencing more lifestyle illnesses and traditional approaches were not helping.

Balanced nutrition, not calorie counting

WFPB eating is NOT calorie counting, weighing food before cooking or a precise balancing of protein, carbohydrates and fats in each meal. It IS about enjoying an abundance of whole fruits, vegetables, grains and legumes until you are satisfied.

Natural Food

WFPB eating is about the freedom to eat food that is unrefined and as close to its natural state as possible. Cooking your food is okay but avoid adding any salt, oil or sugar to the cooking process.
